Nethone, now part of Mangopay, is a cybersecurity company specializing in advanced fraud prevention and risk management. By leveraging AI and machine learning, Nethone analyzes user behavior to detect and stop fraud in real time.
In 2017, EXEQ worked with Nethone to create a development plan and outline key R&D tasks for their fraud prevention product. We structured the project and prepared a funding application, enabling Nethone to secure public financing from the National Centre for Research and Development (NCBR).

- Grant Writing
Overcoming Complexities in Advancing Banking Security
Nethone set out to transform banking security with cutting-edge technology designed to combat fraud. EXEQ’s role was to assist in crafting a comprehensive project concept and securing funding for its implementation. The key challenge was to effectively present the project’s scope, innovation, and R&D complexities in a way that met the stringent criteria of the Polish National Centre for Research and Development’s funding programs.
Strategic Planning and NCBR Grant Preparation
In the initial phase, we conducted workshops to shape the concept, define objectives, and develop a detailed work plan, addressing key research challenges. Once finalized, we outlined a financial plan to ensure the proposed activities met funding requirements. The final step involved preparing and submitting a grant application to NCBR’s Fast Track Programme, successfully aligning the project with its criteria.
Securing €2M for Nethone’s Flagship Product Development
EXEQ supported Nethone in securing nearly €2M in funding for the development of its flagship product. The grant application we prepared received an excellent evaluation, ranking among the top submissions in a highly competitive call for projects.
